June 4, 2005 Schundler's Web Site Replaces Doctored Dean Photo

This last weekend before New Jersey's GOP primary for governor, Bret Schundler has a distraction to deal with.
It turns out his Web site photo showing him in a crowd of cheering supporters was a computer paste-job. The supporters actually were cheering for Howard Dean.
Schundler's name was superimposed over the "Howard Dean for America'' sign and a Dean baseball cap.
Big Fish, the marketing firm Schundler hired to produce his Web site, also worked on dean's campaign. It says Schundler had no knowledge of the faux rally snapshot.
On the bright side for Bret, Schundler's plan to reduce property tax got a thumbs-up from Star-Ledger politics columnist Tom Moran -- because it caps state and local spending with constitutional amendments. All the unused revenue would go toward property tax relief.
"If you want to shrink government at all levels, Schundler is your man," Moran writes.
